Fred Thompson, R-Hollyweird: Lobbyist, lawyer and thespian energizes right wing morons!

Looking around the right-wing blogosphere recently, I'm struck by how desperate the Republicans have become to find someone who will represent the traitorous, Scooter Libby-defending chickhawk wing of the Republican Party.

Who would have imagined their savior would be a lawyer-turned Senator turned lobbyist turned Hollyweird actor? Much to the delight of the of the kill-em-all, pro-life right wing branch of the Republican Party, Fred Thompson, the 65 year old "Tennessee Stud" (as he was known before settling down recently with his buxom 40 year old second wife), is kind of talking about maybe getting around to filing his paperwork so that he can run for President.

Frankly I'm not sure why he's any better than, say, Tancredo, or Brownback and I have yet to get any sort of explanation from right-wingers, but I think it's because they are star-struck. In spite of their protestations to the contrary, it fills them with endless joy to know that their candidate will be the man who has pretended to be a leader on TV before. I guess that's a little more inspiring than the current leading candidate who is being considered largely because he was caught on film walking thru the ground up remains of the WTC complex where he stupidly placed his emergency bunker, but I digress.

Instead of traditional campaign commercials, Thompson should pay for weekly 30 minute TV slots. FOX would probably give him a discount. His staff could create mini-dramas, maybe with Jack Bauer, of Thompson leading America in an ass-kicking of the world. There could be "Law and Order: Gitmo" where he pretends to condemn a hapless goat herder (who was sold to the US military by a rival goat herder) to death. Another episode could have him dressed up in military uniform nuking the UN headquarters and NY liberals.

Another episode could have him directing a sexy secret agent (his 2nd wife!) as she wears a tight bodysuit like that worn by Ms. Underestimated. As Thompson barked commands at her, she could obediently, like a good Christian woman, waste illegal border crossers with the gun she keeps strapped to her younger, sexy leg.

The possibilities are as endless as examples of George W. Bush incompetence. Such mini-drama commercials would show that Thompson is serious about fighting terrorism and Mexicans.

Then, when he's President, he can "think beyond Iraq" (I guess that's one way for him to avoid hard Iraq questions!) and we can get ready to invade the next Islamofascist country with our not-broken-at-all military. We'll be able to finance the next war with all of the money that grows on trees somewhere. It's going to be so awesome when we finally defeat Islamofascism and the right wing scaredy cats can finally get out from under their beds and buy gas without fearing the former-Muslim-but-newly-converted gas station attendent. Right-wingers will be able to get a life and it will all be because of Fred Thompson.

Fred Thompson will have streets in Damascus and Tehran named after him. With his Hollyweird Razzle-Dazzle, the rest of world will love him. It'll be just like the movies, with Fred Thompson playing the role of his life: The President who knew more about makeup than Hillary.

Have an idea for Fred Thompson poltical commercials? Please add them in the comments. I think we should leverage his Hollywood past.

Billy Joe, how can Libby be a traiter when he was only convicted of lying and obstructing justice? He was not convicted or even accused of the faux outing of Valerie Plame so he can not be a traitor for that.

Is your definition of a traitor someone who committed perjury and obstructed justice? If so then Bill Clinton is also a traitor. Now I would never call Clinton a traitor for those things, he was a traitor for other things he did.

Is it wrong to ask that a man convicted of a crime to receive a punishment that is commensurate with the severity of it? Is it too much to ask that he be afforded his Constitutional right against cruel and unusual punishment? 30 months is excessive for this crime.

Now, given that he did not disclose Plame's identity (I mean after Plame's husband did) and that Fitzgerald knew who did 3 days into the investigation I believe that the President should pardon the man and let him get on with his life.

If all this amounts to defending a traitor then so be it but you are really stretching on this one.

Just wanted to stop by and set you straight. Hope you get 3 or 4 visits to this newly launched blog. I wish you lots of luck.

Have fun and try not to get in your mother's way while she is in the basement washing clothes. Stay at your computer and you might not bother her.

And put the Cheetos away...

I created this blog because I got tired of dismantling the right-wing morons who think "nuking" people will get rid of our problems. They kept deleting my comments to their posts so I decided to start a blog where I could call them out directly.

I can't speak for the others but I never deleted one of your comments. To make this assertion indicates that the people you mentioned in the post deleted your comments. Your use of the word THEY is all inclusive and is disingenuous and untrue. Shame shame Billy Boy. You lied about why you started your blog.

You need to print a retraction and apologize to the world for your indiscretion. All inclusive items can get you in trouble like that.

You will learn.

Oh Big Dog,

Cutting and running from a debate again?

Answer these simple questions about the Plame case:

- Why did the CIA ever ask this to be investigated if she wasn't outed?

- Why did the White House agree to investigate and why did Bush's Justice Dept. do so?

- Why did Ashcroft recuse himself?

Here is the news about her covert status that was just released earlier this week:

In the “unclassified summary” of his memorandum which was based on information cleared by the CIA and became publicly available Tuesday, Fitzgerald provided new details about Wilson’s previously classified activities at the agency. In January 2002, she was working for the agency “as an operations officer” in the Directorate of Operations’s Counterproliferation Division (CPD) and serving as “chief” of a unit with responsibility for weapons-proliferation issues related to Iraq. In that capacity, he added, she traveled overseas in an undercover capacity.

“She traveled at least seven times to more than 10 countries,” the document states. “When traveling overseas, Ms. Wilson always traveled under a cover identity … At the time of the initial unauthorized disclosure in the media of Ms. Wilson’s employment relationship with the CIA on 14 July 2003, Ms. Wilson was a covert CIA employee for whom the CIA was taking affirmative measures to conceal her intelligence relationship to the United States.”

Libby was convicted in a court of law for breaking a real law. Take off your tinfoil hat for a minute and deal with the merits of the case.

"...before settling down recently with his buxom 40 year old second wife..."

Any particular reason (other than being a mysoginistic MCP) you needed to put it that way? Did you also frequently call Hillary C. a "frumpy" senator, or "fat" or even "buxom"... pretty crude guy

Alright BJ, where have Big Dog, Smokey, MsU or any of my crew (and if you can't figure out why Smokey, BD and MsU are considered "my crew" then you are more obtuse than I thought possible) have advocated nuking our political opponents.

Don't lump us in with that other fellow.

Now how is Big Dog a traitor, and how is Smokey being a Chickenhawk a bad thing?

Chickenhawks are the largest and fiercest of their breed, and defend their territory vociferously. In fact the more their territory gets encroached upon the harder they defend it. They also live on a diet of chickens and rats.

No wonder that there are chickenhawks circling this rats nest of a blog. Gonna be good eats over here with a dumbass such as yourself runnin the place.

Now answer the question:

How is Big Dog a traitor?

Sorry to disappoint you, but you'll have to leave the "wearin'-o-the-rubber-suits" to your demotard friends like Silky Pony, John Edwards. What a lame attempt at slamming someone who didn't even know who you were/are until a friend said "hey, look!" No thanks, I pass... you, like Cynthia McKinney, steal too much oxygen from those of us who are so deserving.

Billy bob Clinton is a rapist, not a traitor. But according to the dim bulb that runs this blog, anything goes, I guess..

smashing dim bulbs. Start with the one in the mirror, punk.

Well BJ if what Fitzgerald presented is genuine why did he not present it at trial since the trial was about if a covert agent was outed? The memo he sent was from the initial investigation into it to determine if she were covert and the information appears to have come from her testimony to Congress. Repeating something does not make it true. The fact is, according to the law and her former supervisors she was not covert.

Additionally, Novak called the CIA and asked for her and they acknowledged she worked there but was not in and she worked at Langly which is very unusual for someone whose identity is being hidden. Her husband disclosed information about her in who's who and on and on.

The facts in the case are that these items have come a bit too late to be facts or have an affect. Fitz is trying to show he had some value when he was a waste of money.

Justice department looked into it to keep from the appearance of a cover up (and if they did cover up do you think they would agree so openly to an investigation) and Ashcroft recused himself because he obviously felt it would give the appearance of impropriety.

You can drink all the Kool aid in the world but the reason Fitz kept goign was to appease the media that wanted a conviction.
